What have we done?
Some of the clients we have helped
Client 1Client was cold called by phone from a Home Improvements company offering her a new Front Door. However when the company visited the client they convinced her to have an Alarm System installed with the front door supplied free of charge. Client agreed only due to the company advising that the alarm system would be linked to the Emergency Services which was very beneficial as client is 75 year old living on her own. However upon the installation of Alarm system by the company she discovered there was no link to the Emergency Services. Client was unhappy that she had been mis-sold the System. She cancelled her cheque for £2100 paid as a deposit. Client has called the company requesting the return of £100 (an initial deposit) and the removal of Alarm System but the company had ignored her request.
Client asked Havering Citizens Advice Bureau to send a letter to company requesting return of £100 deposit and removal of Alarm System. The Client also instructed LLoyds Bank to stop any direct debit.
